Andermatt railway station
Description
Travellers from the north of Switzerland can easily reach Andermatt by train or the Gotthard Panorama Express on the historic route via Göschenen. Travellers from the south travel to Göschenen through what was once the longest railway tunnel in the world, the historic Gotthard railway tunnel. From there, the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway takes them through the Schöllenen Gorge and past the Devil's Bridge to Andermatt. Visitors from Valais and Graubünden can also reach Andermatt in comfort on the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway or the Glacier Express.
