Spring is here, the snow is melting, and soon we’ll see all that was tossed around by the wind during the winter. Because we don't want to leave trash strewn about the countryside, we're getting together on Saturday, June 24 for some clean-up work. This time, we’ll be tackling the litter on Gemsstock, and we hope that as many volunteers as possible will show up to help out. It will soon be Clean-up Day in Andermatt again. Before the summer season starts, we want to make sure that our mountains are as free of trash as possible. Day on the mountain On the morning of June 24, we’ll meet at the valley station of the Gemsstock gondola in Andermatt, where we’ll be joined by representatives of Andermatt-Sedrun Sport AG and the Summit Foundation. Working in groups, we’ll collect everything on Gemsstock, Gurschen and the valley descent that doesn't belong in nature. Afterwards, we’ll meet up to weigh the trash and enjoy drinks, snacks and music. Routes for everyone A multifaceted clean-up area awaits us on Gemsstock. Families with children can take the gondola up to the mid-station to collect trash in that area and then take the gondola back down again. Those interested in climbing can take the gondola up to Gemsstock and clean up on top of the mountain, while others can collect litter along the valley descent toward the village. Volunteers can choose how long and how intensively they want to help. We hope you, too, will turn out to assist us!
