Situated at 1,444 m above sea level, Andermatt has always attracted guests from all over the world, not least because of its charming, traditional village centre. Andermatt is located in the Ursern Valley, one of the most impressive high valleys in Switzerland. From the valley, three routes lead over the Oberalp, Gotthard and Furka to the neighbouring cantons of Graubünden, Ticino and Valais, each with its own characteristics. The new Andermatt Reuss district, the excellent hotels and various gourmet restaurants offer a unique ambience in the original village.

In summer, Andermatt and the Ursern Valley offer various opportunities for outdoor adventures: Hikes, mountain tours, fishing excursions, via ferrata tours and much more. Racing bikers take the endurance test here: from Andermatt you ride laps with up to five pass crossings and almost 7,000 metres of altitude. On the 18-hole Andermatt Swiss Alps Golf Course, you'll feel like you've been transported to Scotland. In winter, the well-developed ski area Andermatt, Sedrun, Disentis with peaks of over 3,000 metres, the many freeride slopes and ski touring opportunities as well as the well-prepared cross-country ski trails in the region attract snow sports enthusiasts to Andermatt.
