Piz Calmot

At the top of the Oberalp Pass

Situated 2,048 metres above sea level, the restaurant Piz Calmot is located not only at the top of the Oberalp Pass but also on the border of the canton of Grisons. It offers a sensational view of Oberalp Lake, the surrounding mountain panorama, and the world’s highest lighthouse, which marks the source of the Rhine. The mountain guesthouse is located directly on the piste and next to the Oberalp Pass railway station. The cantons of Uri and Grisons come together here not only in terms of their borders but also on the menu. In the cosy mountain inn atmosphere, you can fortify yourself with regional specialities and delicacies. In summer, the mountain guesthouse is the starting point for hiking or fishing and the ideal spot for making a stop on the way to Grisons. Whether by car or on foot. Tip: In summer, one-day licences for fishing on Oberalp Lake can be purchased directly in the restaurant. Would you like to enjoy the beautiful view of Oberalp Lake just a little longer? Then spend the night with us. The rooms feature cosy, rustic furnishings and have two, three, four or six beds. Depending on the room, you’ll have you own bathroom or share one on the floor. Breakfast is included in the price, and half-board can be booked for an added cost. Book a room
