Matti KidsArena in Andermatt
The Matti KidsArena is located on the sunny slope between Nätschen and Gütsch. There you’ll find simple practice slopes for children and a large snowpark, as well as colourful figures and finish lines for the first attempts at slaloming. Kids who are on skis or a snowboard for the first time get taken back up on the magic carpet. Also on the piste: The brown bear Matti, the mascot of the KidsArena. When hunger strikes, it’s off to the Matti family restaurant right next door. In addition to local specialities, the restaurant also serves delicious children’s meals. Also, our outstanding mountain water is available free of charge. In the large play area, children can let off some steam before returning to the snow. You can reach the Matti KidsArena conveniently with the Gütsch Express gondola or the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway.
Druni KidsArena in Sedrun
In the Druni KidsArena, there is something to do for the whole family. Beginners go up the slope on the conveyor, then curve back down the piste on their skis or snowboards between colourful figures. Experienced kids can take the children’s ski lift or one of two tow lifts to the blue pistes right next door. Also at the SkiArena: The Druni family restaurant and the snow-tubing run. You can rent tubes there and then slide down the run. Great fun for young and old! The Druni KidsArena is located near the Sedrun railway station.
Caischavedra practice lifts in Disentis
Disentis also has two perfect lifts for the first attempts at skiing. With the practice lifts in the Caischavedra area, the first runs on skis or a snowboard couldn’t be easier for the young skiers. The special plus for families: Parents can be near their kids but still take on trails in all degrees of difficulty. Or they can watch from the sun terrace of the nearby restaurant as their children are learning. Once everyone’s gotten the hang of it, it’s off from Caischavedra without further ado to the lifts for the “grownups”.
Sax ski meadow in Disentis
On this ski meadow, especially the little tykes will feel fit as a fiddle. Here, the youngest ski stars are provided with a safe environment that enables them to give it a try on their first skis without any risk or stress. Absolute beginners start with the two 30-metre magic carpets, and more advanced children can try the 370-metre platter lift. That way, the little ones can quickly improve their skills. Once they’ve had enough of skiing, can take a breather in a teepee with drinks, snacks, and fun games.
