Description

The Rohr circular route in the Unteralp near Andermatt combines natural diversity and alpine impressions. From the village bridge, you go up stairs to the Mariahilf Chapel. Shortly after, the first rest area with a fire pit and stream invites you to take a break. Then the path leads up to the Schützenhaus, offering a wide view into the Urschen Valley, to the Nätschen, and the surrounding peaks. The route continues to the impressive waterfall of the Gurschenbach, which is crossed by a bridge. The descent goes back down towards the valley, passing the Rohr barbecue area – an idyllic spot to pause briefly. Finally, a small driveway leads you back to Andermatt. The varied circular route offers a mix of nature reserves, high alpine landscapes, and wide views – ideal for trail runners who want to combine nature and exercise.
