Description
HELESTYLE creates art that surprises. Her realistic canvas works are evidence of keen observation, while her objects reveal humour, sensuality and narrative power. You look, smile and then look again more closely.
As the artist herself says: ‘Through size, irony and intensity, the sweets we take for granted become aesthetically appealing and seductive in an atypical way. I love creating art that entices, charms, teases, disarms and surprises. My objects invite you on a little trip to Wonderland.’
Together with Silva Sancho, oversized boxes of chocolates were created and staged as impressive art objects. Each individual praline is unique – handmade in porcelain and individually painted. HELE's canvas works take elements of pop art with realistic pieces of cake and develop them into an independent, playful visual world. HELESTYLE combines craftsmanship and precision with a wink and transforms everyday life into a little wonderland for a moment.
