In the former chapter hall of the Benedictine Abbey of Disentis, visitors will find a true treasure trove full of discoveries. The museum brings together sacred art, natural history treasures, minerals, and ethnological objects under one roof – all presented in an engaging and fascinating manner. Particularly impressive is the natural history exhibition with a large collection of regional animal specimens and exciting information about the flora of the Surselva – ideal for families with children. The section on sacred art displays intricate altar vessels, vestments, and statues that are usually hidden from view.
