Tower guard tour Hospental
Description
The mighty medieval tower with its viewing platform, which is part of the tour, towers above picturesque Hospental. Together with the baroque Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, it watches over the unspoilt townscape and the entire Ursern Valley. Hospental is considered the best-preserved village in the canton of Uri - virtually free of modern architectural sins. In a guided tour lasting around an hour and a half, the guide tells stories and anecdotes about the secret capital of the Ursern Valley. The tour starts at the railway station, leads past the Belle Époque Hotel Meyerhof and the St. Gotthard Inn, up to the tower and church in the upper part of the village and finally back to the starting point via the old Furka Trail.
Please note that the tour depends on the availability of the guides. The guides will be requested directly after your booking. If no guide is available, we will contact you to discuss a possible rebooking.
