On the trail of Switzerland: the Gotthard Panorama Express combines two of Switzerland's most beautiful regions by boat and train to create a first-class experience. The journey on the Gotthard Panorama Express takes you from Lucerne by boat to Flüelen and then by train in a first-class panoramic carriage along the historic Gotthard panoramic route to Ticino.

During the journey, you will glide on the steamboat across Lake Lucerne from Lucerne to Flüelen and pass historic sites of primeval Switzerland such as Rütli, Tell's Chapel, Schillerstein and Treib. On the panoramic train, you will receive exciting information from the multilingual tour guide and can feel the breeze on your face when you open the windows in the photo coach. You will be fascinated by the displays about the history of the Gotthard Railway as you enjoy the unique scenery on the panoramic train and marvel at the various helical tunnels and bridges from Flüelen to the Mediterranean Ticino.

This journey can also be travelled in the opposite direction - from south to north - and is a summer-only offer.
