Get out of the stress of everyday life, into the mountains - and into real family time.

Wurzelwerk is a 5-day project for families in the Swiss Alps that offers a unique combination of vacation, professional coaching, cultural education and sustainable family strengthening. The pilot project is the prelude to the orientation of the Disentis+Sedrun+Andermatt region as a newly conceived family destination.

At the KulturSpielPlatz Wurzelwerk, children (from kindergarten age to 16 years) immerse themselves in a creative world. Together with experienced cultural mediators (Katrin Bucher, Benno Muheim, Ursina and Daniel Mathéus), they create a large wooden sculpture on Piazza Catrina in Disentis, discover new sides to themselves in workshops and are thus encouraged in important skills such as self-efficacy, teamwork and creativity. The days can be booked individually or as a whole week.

While the children take part in the cultural program, parents receive targeted support to strengthen their resilience and well-being, based on the latest findings from positive psychology and resilience research. This innovative combination of cultural education and personal development creates sustainable added value for Swiss families and fills an important gap in the existing range of offers.

As an option to the KulturSpielPlatz, we offer parents an inspiring additional program in the morning:

The day starts with an activating movement impulse - to arrive, take a deep breath and recharge your batteries. This is followed by a workshop full of practical ideas that really work in everyday family life.
