Description

At the information board in Fadretsch we follow the sign with the number 610 and shortly afterwards we cross the Rein da Medel on a historic stone bridge. After the pretty chapel in Pali, we hike uphill on a snow-covered road to the end. This is now followed by a climb to the Maiensässen in Plauns. On a longer, flat section through the forest we breathe deeply and between the fir trees there are always new views of the mountains and valleys. On the Stagias hill we immerse ourselves in a shady forest for a long time. Only when we see our destination, the buildings of Alp Pazzola, will we have sun on our faces again. Here we leave Route 610 and hike in open terrain towards the alp, which is located on a hilltop. Once at the top, the views are wonderful. To the west we see Sedrun and to the east we have the Surselva and Disentis at our feet. We look for a sunny spot between the alpine huts and take a long rest, because it would be a shame to have to go back straight away.

Ascent variant: Start in Mompé Medel and climb on the north side to Stagias. (better snow security)

Descent variant: At the last junction, follow route 610 to Tegia Nova, with a descent to Platta
