Description

After a few meters we leave the cable car facilities in Caischavedra and hike across wet meadows through the Val Magriel towards Lag Serein. However, at the first trail junction we turn left to Gendusas Dado, so that we reach Lag Serein in an arc over Verclisa. This results in a scenic circular hike with the highest point being at Sum Plaunca Hermer, a first-class viewing point. The descent to Verclisa is a bit steep and slippery, but we are rewarded with a landscape of green meadows and gently meandering watercourses. Just like Sebastian Kneipp, we take off our shoes and cool our feet in the boggy, damp meadows.

After another climb we soon see our destination. The Lag Serein is only small, but very nice! Crystal clear, turquoise water invites you to cool off for a while and the surrounding meadows invite you to have a picnic. On the way back to Caischavedra we cross lively mountain streams and we hike through alpine rose and blueberry bushes until we reach our ascent route again.

Variant for e short hike: You can reach the lake in just over an hour by taking the direct route. (without Verclisa)
