Description

The snow has just fallen! In Fuorns, we strap on our skis and climb first over open terrain and later through a sparse forest with some gnarled fir trees up to the striking red building of Ziegenalp Puzetta. Around 300 goats spend the summer on this alp; in winter we are alone here and the silence is total. If you prefer a more leisurely ascent, take the snow-covered road.

After the alp, the route continues steadily past the last fir trees. Deep below us lies the Val Medel and we have an increasingly clear view as far as Disentis and almost as far as the Lukmanier Pass. When we reach the summit, we are almost taken by surprise by the Piz Medel mountain range, giving us the feeling that we are almost at the same altitude. The descent runs along the ascent track, there is enough space for parallel turns.
