Andermatt holds a special place in my heart, and it’s been a key destination for Chasing Cancellara. The surrounding region is a mecca for road cycling and the ideal location for the Tudor Pro Cycling Team to now consider as home.

The peak season is between July and September. In spring and autumn, mild temperatures and less traffic offer ideal conditions. Check the current status of the Alpine passes here before your tour.
The weather can change quickly in the mountains. It is advisable to check the forecast regularly and take rain gear with you. Temperatures are cooler at higher altitudes.
There are tours for all levels. Some passes, such as the Oberalp Pass, are also suitable for less experienced riders, while the Furka Pass or Susten Pass are more challenging.
Andermatt is easily accessible with the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway. Racing bikes can be taken along, but require an additional ticket. You can find the current timetable here.
