The ‘Mountain&TrainTicket’ is available from 1 May to 31 October and can only be purchased using the Guest Card. Get your ticket in three easy steps:

Open your Guest Card (Don't have a Guest Card yet? You can find information about how to obtain one here.)
Select ‘Mountain&TrainTicket’ and pay online (if there are several people: switch to the next person on the Guest Card)
Receive your ticket voucher by e-mail (including wallet files) or access it in your wallet/under ‘Orders’.

Frequently asked questions

The ‘Mountain&TrainTicket’ is available from 1 May to 31 October.

The ‘Mountain&TrainTicket’ is valid for up to 7 days.
For longer stays, the ticket can be purchased several times in succession, allowing you to benefit from the services for more than seven days.

The ‘Mountain&TrainTicket’ is valid for passenger transport only.
It is not valid for evening or extra journeys.

Yes, on the Disentis/Mustér–Dieni section, PostBus route 420 is included in the Mountain&TrainTicket.

After purchase, you will receive two separate vouchers with QR codes. Each voucher clearly states what it is valid for – either the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway or the mountain railways. The vouchers can be conveniently loaded into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, making them quick and easy to use.

Matterhorn Gotthard Railway: Show the relevant voucher to the train attendant.
Mountain railways: The relevant voucher is scanned directly at the turnstiles of the mountain railways.

The ‘Mountain&TrainTicket’ is not valid for:

Glacier Express
Commuter and business travel
Journeys for commercial purposes
Arrival and departure

For groups of 10 or more adults (aged 12 and over), the group rate of CHF 16 applies. For children, the regular price of CHF 10 applies. To benefit from the group rate, please register in advance with the relevant tourist information office:

Bicycle transport is not included in the ‘Mountain&TrainTicket’. The following regulations apply:

Upgrade for CHF 10 per day
Upgrade for CHF 5 per journey

No discount for bicycle transport

Furka Mountain Steam Railway

Bicycle transport is not possible on the steam train

No, dogs are not entitled to use a Guest Card or the ‘Mountain&TrainTicket’.

Yes. Please note the respective seasonal and operating hours of the mountain railways and the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway. These may vary depending on the route, season and weather conditions.
We recommend checking the current timetables and operating hours before your trip.

A refund is only possible under the following condition:

All mountain railways and the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway (or an equivalent replacement service) are out of operation for the entire period of validity.

In this case, the general terms and conditions (GTC) of the respective operators apply. If they decide to issue a refund, the ‘Mountain&TrainTicket’ will also be refunded accordingly.
