Culinary trek in Andermatt

Description

The culinary trek will take you by gondola from Andermatt to the Matti family restaurant at the Nätschen mid-station. Enjoy the first rays of sunshine over coffee and croissants before heading out toward Restaurant Schneehüenerstock. First, you’ll take the gondola up to Gütsch. From there, a beautiful hiking trail leads to Restaurant Schneehüenerstock. The walk takes about 1.5 hours and 270 metres in altitude. Once you reach the top, you’ll have a breathtaking view of the Urseren Valley and the Surselva. That will make your lunch taste twice as good. Awaiting you as the crowning highlight is dessert at the Piz Calmot mountain inn before heading back home happy and sated. To get from Schneehüenerstock to Piz Calmot, you can either take the Schneehüenerstock Express gondola or go on foot (walk of about two hours).

Another highlight is that you can download your audio guide to your smartphone free of charge and learn a lot of interesting facts about the area during your tour.

The package offer includes the gondola trips Andermatt-Gütsch and Schneehüenerstock-Oberalp Pass, the train ride with the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn from Oberalpass to Andermatt, coffee and croissants at the Matti family restaurant, lunch at Restaurant Schneehüenerstock and dessert, including coffee, at the Piz Calmot mountain inn.
