Description
The Stucklistock stands out as a striking peak from early on. By the time you reach the Stotzigen Glacier, at the latest, it becomes clear just how impressive this tour is. The long descent offers plenty of variety but requires solid skiing technique and experience in alpine terrain.
The tour starts at the Färnigen parking lot below the Susten Pass Road. If the section of road to Färnigen is closed, the tour should not be undertaken, as safe avalanche conditions are required.
The route leads across the Rütifirn. Below the ridge, at about 3,100 m above sea level, a ski depot is set up. From there, the route continues on foot toward the summit. A rope can be helpful in this section. In good snow conditions, the steep east couloir can be chosen for the summit ascent.
The descent follows the same route back to the starting point.
