Description

The Rohr Loop Trail in Unteralp near Andermatt combines natural diversity with alpine scenery. From the village bridge, the trail leads up a flight of steps to the Mariahilf Chapel. Shortly afterward, the first rest area—complete with a fire pit and a stream—invites you to take a break. The trail then leads up to the Schützenhaus, where a sweeping view of the Urschnertal Valley, the Nätschen, and the surrounding peaks unfolds. The trail continues to the impressive Gurschenbach waterfall, which you cross via a bridge. The descent leads back toward the valley, past the Rohr barbecue area—an idyllic spot to pause for a moment. Finally, a small dirt road takes you back to Andermatt. This varied loop trail offers a mix of nature reserves, high-alpine landscapes, and sweeping views—ideal for trail runners who want to combine nature and exercise.
