Description

From Disentis (1130 m a.s.l.) you can already see Cavardiras, which towers high above the Surselva. A short descent to the Rhine and a gentle climb bring you to the village on the other side of the valley. You are on cycle route no. 3. On a short, fast descent you reach Pardomat and along the anterior Rhine you pass over gravel banks and cool riverside groves from Surrein to Trun (852 m a.s.l.). MTB route no. 90 now takes you to the Obersaxen plateau. The area was settled by the Walser and is therefore a Swiss German linguistic island in the middle of the Surselva. Above Friggahüs you reach the highest point of the day (1481 m a.s.l.), and accompanied by an impressive view of the Surselva, you can leisurely roll down to Meierhof (1259 m a.s.l.).
