Chixxs Splitboard/Touring Ski Steep Riding Camp

Event information
Description
Do you feel confident on skis or a snowboard and want to tackle steeper slopes or further develop your technique in challenging terrain? Andermatt offers ideal conditions with its steep slopes, narrow couloirs, and varied deep powder runs. This three-day course focuses entirely on steep riding and how you can master steep terrain with the right technique, conscious line choice, and increased confidence.
Together with mountain guide Karin Isaksson Zgraggen, you will work on your riding technique and learn how to stay controlled even in tight sections or on hard surfaces. Alongside technique, the focus is on line selection, terrain assessment, and managing mental challenges.
How do you approach entering a steep section? Which line suits your skill level? And how do you react when you feel uncertain in a situation? Through individual coaching, practical exercises, and video analysis, you will receive valuable tips to specifically develop your abilities.
Requirements
You have good experience skiing or snowboarding in deep powder and are confident handling your equipment. You want to take on new challenges and expand your skills in steep terrain. Short ascents and sections on foot in steep terrain with your equipment strapped on are manageable for you.
Elevation gain: Approximately 700 to 800 meters per course day.

Individual coaching and video analysis support you in gradually building your skills.
Target audience
This course is aimed at experienced female skiers and snowboarders who are already confident in deep powder and want to further develop their technique and confidence for steeper and more demanding runs.
