Stiva Grischuna
Description
The old Bündnerstube Stiva Grischuna used to be called the ‘Zum Löwen’ restaurant and is one of the oldest surviving inns in Disentis/Mustér. It was built by Fidel Condrau between 1810 and 1820 in the rustic rococo style after the French fire of 1799. The beautifully panelled ceiling from 1804 and 1805 shows the coats of arms of the old Rhaeto-Romanic Condrau and Monn families. The soapstone stove with the initials of the builder and the year 1801 as well as the bull's-eye windows give the room a particularly venerable touch. The kitchen offers typical dishes such as capuns, pizochels cun jarvas, polenta alla nonna or maluns. Or enjoy an exquisite ‘Charbonade’ with the best meat from the region.
