Description

On the road through the Schöllenen Gorge to Göschenen, the bike rolls itself in. In Wassen, the ascent begins via side roads into the Meien valley. Up to the Susten Pass, only a small part of the route runs along the pass road.

The higher you go, the more difficult the route becomes. Shortly before the top of the pass, you can expect to have to push for up to 15 minutes. However, this does not detract from the phenomenal view of the mountain and valley.

From the top of the Susten Pass, the route descends on the pass road until shortly before Gadmen, where the route continues to Innertkirchen away from the traffic. After crossing the village, the bike trail runs along the right bank of the river - above the Aare Gorge - to Meiringen, which involves a climb. Biking is prohibited in the Aare gorge itself.
