Andermatt - Witenwasseren

The tour starts in Andermatt and leads along the Reuss via Hospental to Realp. At the end of the village, the route branches off to the left and passes the station of the nostalgic Furka-Bergstrecke steam train. With a bit of luck, you might spot one of the impressive steam locomotives on its journey towards the Furka Pass. After the level crossing, the gravel section into the remote Witenwasserental begins. The former military road leads across wide alpine meadows, past the Witenwasserenreuss and through a protected landscape area with moorland and rare flora. The valley is a true paradise of flowers, especially in spring. The destination of the tour is the Oberstafel at 2,221 m above sea level. M. at the foot of the Pizzo Lucendro.
