Description

Unless there has been fresh snow recently, we are prepared for the edges of the ski slopes to already be tracked by the freeriders. But our mood remains undimmed because we are rewarded with fantastic views of the mountains along the way.

After the Maiensässen near Caischavedra, we quickly move away from the happy skiing and hike uphill from one marking pole to the other. In some sections we are completely alone and it is quiet around us. We walk past the Gendusas Dadens piste bar. Now we have to overcome a fairly steep slope. But the thought that we will soon reach the maximum altitude gives us a boost of energy. Then we see the route to Cuolm da Vi in front of us and up to there it is a pleasant descent down the valley. We sit down at the Baracca piste bar for coffee and nut croissants. We deserve it.

From here we can hike back the same way, or we can take the cable car to Sedrun and the train back to Disentis-Acletta.

Tip. From Cuolm da Vi to Caischavedra the tour is not that strenuous.
