Hospental Trail

After starting at Hospental railroad station parallel to the tracks, you soon cross an old arched bridge that leads over the Furkareuss. Following in the footsteps of the old muleteers, you now follow the historic Furka Trail for a while on a hill. After crossing the cross-country ski trail, a short ascent begins in the direction of Bielenboden. The view sweeps over the magnificent Ursern Valley with Andermatt in the background. A lovely descent is followed by a beautiful ridge with a subsequent descent to the Reuss. Following the river upstream, you soon reach Hospental railroad station again.
