Description

We begin our hike very leisurely in Cumpadials, first on a forest road through the alder forest along the Rhine, later on a paved side road to the year-round inhabited village Cavardiras. Soon we see the silhouette of the pilgrimage church from the 17th century, dedicated to Saint Anthony of Padua. On a forest road, we continue through shady woods and past alpine huts.

Later, a hiking trail leads us through the two ravines Dargun da Pardomat and Dargun da Falens. Then we are there! Idyllically nestled in meadows and forests, the turquoise lake lies before us. We unpack the wool blanket and settle in for a longer stay, with swimwear and enough provisions. Following the motto: “Listen, how you hear nothing” (Karl Valentin), we absorb the silence within us. With binoculars, we scan the slopes above the lake, as this is deer and roe deer territory.

On the way back down to the valley, we descend to the village of Laus. Here, time seems to have stood still, and we admire the neat houses and well-kept gardens before we set off for the last part of the hike.

The path is diverted in the area of Dargun da Pardomat.
