Description

The ski tour starts at Vermigelboden. You can reach the starting point either by skiing down from the Gemsstockbahn mountain station via Gafallen or by hiking up from Andermatt through the Unteralptal valley.

From Vermigelboden, the route continues uphill via Gätschplangge and Porggeren. It then passes to the right of the Maighel Pass and heads toward the summit below the Bornengopass.

Alternatively, an ascent via Wildenmatte is possible. This variant is steeper and more exposed and therefore requires safe conditions.

For the descent, the route via Wildenmatte is recommended when conditions are good. Depending on snow and weather conditions, snow quality can vary significantly. In less favorable conditions, the descent along the ascent route via Porggeren and the Maighel Pass is recommended.

Overall, the tour is varied and moderately technically challenging, with a short, distinctive summit section.
