Description

We registered our tour at the tourist office the evening before and arrive at the valley station of the nostalgic Tgom cable car in good time. This allows us to conquer the first 600 metres in altitude quite comfortably, and we enjoy the panoramic view of the entire valley. The ascent from the mountain station over the broad ridge and over Piz Nual is a real treat. After the Carvers dil Tgom, we decide whether to tackle the short descent of around 100 metres in altitude with or without skins. From here, the route leads out of a hollow in leisurely hairpin bends through hilly terrain to the ski depot. The ridge to the summit is airy and exposed. A first-class 360-degree panorama awaits us at the summit cross!

The descent leads down the north-facing slope to Selva, down to the Rhine. In the lower section, we have to search a little for the best route through the alder trees. We allow about half an hour for the return ascent to the railway station in Tschamut. The train takes us back to Sedrun.

Option for the ascent: From Selva in a direct line via Stavel da Mut to the summit.

Variant for the descent: From Carvers dil Tgom to Alp Nual and to Rueras.
