Description

The beautiful loop trail in Unteralp leads from the village bridge up a flight of steps to the Mariahilf Chapel. Just a few meters further on, the first rest area—complete with a fire pit and a stream—invites you to linger. After a short break, the trail continues uphill to the Schützenhaus. From there, you’ll enjoy a beautiful view of the Urschnertal valley, the Nätschen, and the surrounding mountains. The trail then continues on to the Gurschenbach waterfall. Crossing the bridge, you begin the descent once again. Soon you’ll spot the next rest area, the Rohr barbecue site, which is perfect for another break and where children can play to their hearts’ content. You’ll then stroll leisurely back to Andermatt along a small road.

For those interested, there are various information signs along the way about the herb trail, and you can pick up the “Molly Package” from Andermatt-Urserntal Tourism to ensure the children have a fun-filled time.
