Description

We hike to the village of Cavorgia, which is inhabited all year round, to the actual starting point of the tour. From here we go uphill on snowshoes along a snow-covered forest road to the Stagias hill, where we get an insight into the Val Medel and a view of the Piz Muraun. On the stairs of the Academia Vivian we let the sun warm us and have a picnic. The building can be rented for all kinds of events and can accommodate 40 people. We'll remember this if we ever want to celebrate a birthday party in a special setting.

We continue our hike down the valley and now and then we leave the given route to leave fresh tracks in the untouched snow. In Mutschnengia we put on our snowshoes and take a detour to the panoramic restaurant of the Hotel Cuntera. We hike on the almost traffic-free road to Curaglia, from where the post bus takes us to Disentis and the train back to Sedrun.
