Description
We follow the continuously paved, low-traffic road into the Val**Sumvitg. The long and cool tunnel before the small village of Val provides a welcome cooling on hot days. In the village of Val, we continue straight to the Teningerbad**, a former spa from the beginning of the twentieth century. As early as 1580, a bitter-salty gypsum spring was mentioned, and over the centuries it developed into a well-frequented spa. Tempi passati!
At the dam, we cross to the other side and shortly after rejoin the ascent route. At the Ustria Val Sumvitg we now make a stop, it would be a pity to just pass by. The museum-like inn recalls long gone times, but you can also sit comfortably on the terrace. The icing on the cake now follows with the single trail to Surrein for those who do not shy away from technical riding. It is the old valley path on which the beautiful and rich were carried in their litters to the Tenigerbad. The path is now somewhat overgrown and after heavy rains must be repeatedly cleared of debris, with great deep views into the stream bed possible in between. An extraordinary end to the route!
