Description
The aerial cableway in Disentis conveniently takes us to Caischavedra, where the route begins. Through the wet meadows of Alp Magriel, the path is lined with orchids and cotton grass. On the slopes, alpine roses bloom in July, a beautiful contrast to the snow-covered peaks. The water of Lag Serein is clear and pure as the name promises, and a refreshing bath can also be attempted. A short ascent then follows around the Muotta dil Tir into Val Clavaniev. From there, it is only a few switchbacks until Lag Crest Ault is reached. It is worth taking a longer break here to recharge for the descent. However, if taken leisurely and with trekking poles, the elevation gain is manageable. Via Plaun Grond and Clavaniev, you return to the valley station of the aerial cableway.
Lag Crest Ault dries up during the course of summer.
