Route Information
Best Time of Year
Description
From Andermatt, the tour takes a relaxed start in the direction of the Oberalp Pass. The eye-catching lighthouse, which symbolically marks the source of the Rhine, awaits you at the top of the pass. The descent leads through the authentic Grisons villages of the Surselva. The route branches off in Disentis and you climb the Lukmanier Pass through the beautiful Swiss stone pine forests. Once you arrive in Ticino, it's worth taking a break in one of the grottos in Biasca before crossing the historic Piottina Gorge to Airolo. Now the grand finale awaits: the ascent over the legendary Tremola road to the Gotthard Pass. Alternatively, you can also choose the wide pass road, but the Tremola is an experience in itself! Once at the top, the descent via Hospental takes you back to Andermatt - a worthy end to this impressive round tour.
