Description

From Andermatt, the first pass on the program is the Furka. Eleven kilometers and 900 vertical meters lead to the top of the pass at 2,436 m above sea level.M. This is followed by a long descent into Goms, ideal for a short break, as the 13 km long ascent to the Nufenen Pass (2,478 m above sea level), the second highest asphalted pass in Switzerland, begins. After a rapid descent into Italian-speaking Airolo, the final ascent to the Gotthard Pass (2,091 m above sea level) begins. The route first takes you along the main road towards the top of the pass before you can switch to the historic Tremola at the junction - a real highlight with cobblestones and alpine scenery. Once at the top, the only thing left is the descent back to Andermatt.
