Talmuseum Ursern
Description
The Talmuseum Ursern is located in one of the most beautiful patrician buildings of the Ursern Valley, the 'Suworow House', which was built in 1786 by Franz Dominik Nager and served as the headquarters of the Russian General Suvorov in 1799. After a renovation, the museum opened in 1991 and offers permanent exhibitions on 18th-century living culture, valley history, military, alpine farming, alpine animals, pack animal trade, as well as the career of ski legend Bernhard Russi. Temporary exhibitions take place in the basement, and guided tours are available upon request.
